Approximately 56 miles north west of Nairobi, Kenya sits Hell’s Gate National Park, a vast park full of wildlife, beautiful scenery, volcanic plugs, a deep gorge, and all the obsidian you could ever want. Hell’s Gate was featured in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life (2003) and was the main inspiration for The Lion King (1994) opening scene at “Pride Rock.”
